Project Overview:
Designed for the bustling environment of Milano Centrale, Dance Connect Milano is an innovative social intervention that transforms a transit hub into a space for intercultural dialogue. The project addresses urban social isolation by inviting commuters to engage in a shared, tech-driven dance experience.
Key Features & User Journey:
- Seamless Interaction: Utilizing a touchless interface, users navigate through the experience using intuitive hand gestures, ensuring a hygienic and fluid public interaction.
- Cultural Learning: The system offers curated tutorials on diverse global dance styles, allowing users to not only move but also learn the "anatomy" and cultural significance of each dance.
- Real-time Feedback: Leveraging motion-tracking algorithms, the installation provides live visual feedback and performance scoring, enhancing engagement through gamification.
- Community Integration: Beyond the screen, the project closes the loop by connecting users to local Milanese dance communities via QR codes, turning a fleeting digital moment into a lasting social connection.
- Github Repo
- Web Demo (Optimized for Google Chrome. Safari users may experience issues with transparent video playback.)
